The SCT X4 flash device comes with generic files for most Ford 1996 and newer vehicles. These are base files that are a slight improvement above stock but are less likely to gain the performance or fuel economy that is advertised. Team JDM however provides you with a Custom Tune file that have had almost 5 years of Research and Development on the Ford F-150 Ecoboost program! Team JDM Custom Tune files give your truck the drive-ability, throttle response, shifting, and fuel economy that your truck should have come with from the factory!
Not only that but while still using Regular 87octane you can see 70+ HP and over 100+ TQ and maintain total reliability! With 91-93 Octane gains of 100+ HP and nearly 150 TQ!!!
Each Year model Ford F-150 Ecoboost has a different (sometimes multiple) Strategy code. The code sometimes will be updated by Ford Dealerships when you bring the truck in for service. This code gives Team JDM a template to build your Truck's custom tune file. Immediately after your purchase Team JDM ships you the SCT X4 Tuner to read your Truck's Strategy file. After you can email or call Team JDM with your Strategy code and within 48 hrs you will have your NEW Custom Tune file built specifically for your Truck! If you have any modifications such as Exhaust, Air Intake, or Intercooler Upgrades Team JDM can accommodate these parts as long as they are noted with your Strategy code.
With Team JDM's Custom tune file, one tune does it all! Some other tuners advertise multiple different tune files for different octane fuels, towing, racing, etc. These extra tune files are mostly gimmicks as the Truck's factory computer can quickly adjust to load changes (towing), fuel quality (via knock sensors), and shift pressures (load changes and throttle position) Team JDM has dialed all of their custom tune files in 110% and filled all the cracks where other tunes fall short.
