Description

For a stronger solid motor mount JDM Engineering uses Prothane’s Bullet motor mounts. We also offer these motor mounts in our modified version which are roughly ½” shorter than factory. This will give increased hood clearance for cars with aftermarket superchargers. These will limit motor rock under hard acceleration. Prothane motor mounts are a direct factory replacement and are used on many vehicles in house at JDM Engineering. Installation is completed in roughly 2 hours.

Not Quite 1/2" Drop

These are machined to order so it took a week after I placed my order for them to ship. The machining was well done on a lathe - the tops were not just hacked off. I measured before and after and ended up with the motor about 3/8" lower than with the stock mounts. Maybe the drop varies depending on the actual state of the mushy factory mounts - I can't say... The only problem is that with the tops of the mounts machined off, the threads don't go down far enough for the bolt (but the holes do). I would have had to trim the bolt for each mount or (and this is what I did) grind the thread off the bottom 1/8" of bolt to get them to thread all the way in. If you're looking for lowering mounts, this is still worth the extra cost compared to buying Prothane mounts and having to machine them down yourself (as long as you don't absolutely need a 1/2" drop).
