Is your 2007- 2011 Shelby GT500 Mustang making over 650 HP at the tires and maxing out the stock mass air flow meter?
Ford Racing and TeamJDM have you covered with this 123mm billet aluminum Mass Air Flow housing. The factory mass air flow sensor has a 5 volt range and once it has reached the full 5 volt reading from too much air flow the computer can no longer compensate for fueling. Most cars in this situation will begin to run lean, which is not safe for a supercharged engine. The factory Mass Air flow housing on a 2007-2011 Shelby GT500 is just over 100mm in diameter where as the bigger 2007-2011 Shelby GT500 Mustang Ford Racing M-9600-CJ Cobra Jet 123mm MAF has a 123mm housing that decreases the speed of air flow as it passes the mass air sensor which lowers the mass air voltage. This allows for higher horsepower levels to be reached before hitting the 5 volt maximum reading. The increase in diameter will often also lead to a small horsepower increase as well.
