Don Fezell Sets NHRA Record for Quickest AAA Stock Automatic in History!!
Don's 2008 Cobra Jet ran a new best ET of 8.54 earlier in the day and had to back it up with in 1% of that time. Well Don did it better the second time around and went 8.50@158.08!! This is a new best ET for Don and his TVS Supercharged Mustang. Don's Cobra Jet sports a JDM Engineering built 5.4L 4V to NHRA specs. The NHRA wanted to make sure everything is to spec so we tore down the mill to measure various components in and on the engine. The entire top of the engine had to come off along with 1 cylinder head. This put us out of the competition for the rest of the weekend but the record alone is enough to keep us and Don happy.
Don's car has set the record in each of the past 4 seasons and continues to raise (or lower if you will) the bar!
